In order to address this injustice, this talk looks towards disaster literature from Asia and the Pacific to both highlight the vulnerability of the area and the transpacific reach of the disasters. Roberson&#8217;s non-Western ideas of vision, it argues, results in a new way of seeing the world that is fundamentally ecological.
