With a multidisciplinary background in biology, literature, and film, she specializes in merging ecocritical theory with the analysis of contemporary media. Her writing has appeared in\u00a0<i>Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment<\/i>, <i>Qui Parle<\/i>, and <i>electronic book review<\/i>, and new work is forthcoming in the collections <i>Sustainable Media <\/i>(Routledge) and <i>Alternative Histories of the Digital Humanities<\/i> (Punctum). Her current book project develops ecological frameworks for understanding and designing digital games.
