Baron Haber is a PhD Candidate in English Literature working on a dissertation that analyzes the metamorphic body in 20th century British and Anglophone literature, utilizing both ecocritical and materialist feminist accounts of the embodied subject. He has been the Graduate Fellow for the EHI since 2018, and has previously worked as the Graduate Fellow for the Arnhold Program Graduate Fellow. In addition to holding his MA from UCSB, he also holds his MFA in Creative Writing (Fiction) from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He enjoys all aspects of life in Santa Barbara — swimming or surfing in the ocean, hiking with his dogs, running or biking on the bluffs, and getting to know all the brilliant people who make up this community.
