I love Wenzel’s phrase “caustic irony as a solvent of ideology”.
I find LeMenager’s personal reflection really moving: “I’m not what I thought I was”, and “I have lived a version of the American dream afforded by these wicked systems” in the wake of surviving different kinds of violence. It provkes me to think about environmental crisis majorly majorly complicates ongoing human political struggles, but that those struggles should not be disavowed either.
